else. Many reforms are instituted and over the next few years Trinsic
is built up into a strong and efficiently organised city by Ikus, his
army, and his council of ministers |

A faction of the Council led by Mentazm opens itself to corruption by
an evil power known simply as "The Overlord". At a meeting of the
Council, they proclaim their treachery openly by murdering the
representatives of the Duchy and the other members of the Council
present. The Council collapses leaving the Duke as the unchallenged
ruler of Trinsic. Mentazm and his followers proclaim themselves the
Overlords of Trinsic, a claim recognised by no-one except themselves
but in which his followers persist to this day |

Duke Irvyn confers the Barony of Trinsic on Robert de Craon.
Throughout the year Count Kamchack constantly challenges the authority
of Duke Irvyn. By the middle of the year there is a state approaching
civil war between the Duchy and the Trinsic Paladins of Honour. The
final straw comes when the Count marries Tarenessa despite the Duke's
refusal to sanction the wedding, and then insists on going to Minoc
although Baron Robert Dart has banned him from the town. The Duke hands
the matter over to the Regent. The Count resigns and leaves Trinsic
with a number of the Paladins following him |

Wedding of Duke Irvyn and Lady Caroline Duval of Britain (attended by all the nobles of Britannia including the Regent).
The Gates of Virtue ceremony goes disastrously wrong, causing all

hazardous.
The Laws of Trinsic are revised and expanded by the Duke and Council.
The Battle of Barrier Bridge: At the end of the year Shaex D’Thargaz of
Naeloth requests a meeting with the Duke to talk peace terms. Although
dubious, Irvyn goes to the meeting and is betrayed; most of his force

UO Sixth Anniversary
Much of
the year is taken up with preparing for and holding a great celebration
to honour and remember all those who fought in the Minax wars when
Trinsic was taken over by the army of undead. However before the
celebrations begin, Orcs begin attacking Moonglow and ironically it
appears that they are working for Minax. Some Trinsicians go to help
Moonglow fight off the invaders.
The Minax Memorial Festival is a great success. Many veterans and
present day soldiers from all over Britannia, loyalist and non-loyalist
alike, attend the opening day parade, showing an unprecedented unity.
They are greeted jointly by Irvyn and Lord Helrick representing Lord
British.
Captain Reann retires and promotes Lieutenant Dargalin to succeed her.
