CoRE Rules of Engagement
Artifacts
Glory
The background story is important, as it explains exactly why this weapon is signficant to the Kaldorians. You can read it here.
Properties
- Glory is a huge weapon. It was originally wielded by a
proto-Kaldorian hero, who was a very large man, and so it stands to
reason that it would take a large individual to wield it effectively.
Someone like Duo, Mordred or Raul would be able to wield it. Someone
like Lysander would have trouble lifting it off the floor. (That's not to say that he couldn't try, but he would have difficulty).
- Glory embodies the wrath of Raza. When wielded, it fills the
wielder with divine rage, enabling him to swing much faster than he
would otherwise do. However, this rage is akin to a berserk state and
during the battle, the wielder may not retreat, even when outnumbered,
but must fight until he falls, or has vanquished the enemy.
- Glory has some side effects that won't be apparent immediately.
Once someone has had possession of Glory for a few days, they will be
contacted with the side effects and they can adapt accordingly.
- Glory is of great historical value to the Kaldorians, due to what it represents (this is hinted at in the back story).
Rules
- Glory is too big to steal, and can only be looted. However, it does
not have to be wielded by the looter. If the looter is unable to use
the axe themselves, it can be passed to
another member of their guild who can.
- It cannot be given or sold to anyone outside the scenario.
- Whoever holds Glory must use it in any confrontation with members
of any guild participating in this scenario. However, it does not need
to be wielded openly at all times (for instance, in towns).
- Glory may not be insured, and must be kept in the top level of the holder's backpack when not wielded.
- Glory may only be looted by guilds participating in the scenario.
- Glory may not be looted by anyone in a deathrobe.
- The holder is responsible for the axe. For non-RP times, the holder
is expected to use common sense, e.g. not taking Glory to dangerous
places where it may be lost such as dungeons, Felucca, etc. The holder
may NOT repair the axe. If the axe's hitpoints get low, it must be returned OOC to Cal Soulshadow (AGM of Kaldor) for repairs, and will then be returned OOC to the holder once the repairs have been completed.
- Participating guilds do not have to be full CoRE members but they
must abide by CoRE RoE and they must be warred to all other guilds
participating in the scenario.
