News from Vesper
Vesper hit from all sides?
First Yew, then Cove and now Trinsic?

The conflict between Yew and Vesper is still raging, Yew taking more than their fair share of victories recently. News from observors around Yew say that the militia have been seen stockpiling both arms and food. Able bodied men have been sent out collecting lumber with thoughts being that they are constructing their own fleet. All signs seem to point to a strengthening of their campaign or knowing the Lord Protectors ambition, maybe a new one. Comments have even been made that he seems to be using seige type tactics. Question is where will this well stocked fleet be heading?

If it's not Yew attacking Vesper, then it could well be those from the small plague ridden town of Cove. A brigade from Cove was said to have 'attacked and ravaged' the Swaggers tavern late last night. Meeting with a resistence of several drunk Vesperian militia men the Covians soon completed their task and moved on. Their next point was to strike down the sleeping form of the Baron, Kain Twothumb. But this cowardly act done, they seemed perhaps aware of the risk they took staying around should any sober or awake guards actually appear and so headed sharply home.

It seems the reason the Militia men were a little worse for ale, was that they had been celebrating a victory earlier over a contiguency of guards from Trinsic. The Trinsic guards had shown up at the Swaggers earlier that evening searching for escaped criminal Gerek. They had, we were told, travelled to Vesper initially to investigate his escape from jail earlier in the week. But as is often the case when these folk meet, tempers flared and a fight took place. Although faced with overwhelming odds from a Vesper force fresh from the training grounds, the Trinsicans defended valiantly, eventually sent home none the wiser as to Gerek location.
With all these attacks your reporter can't help but ask if Vesper hasn't just bitten off a little more than it can chew?

Also in Vesper...
Odd pages from a journal believed to be that of Baron Twothumbs late brother, Olaf, have been arriving at the new library. Olaf was murdered a while back, under orders thought to come from somone highly placed in within either Strongholt or Trinsic. The diary appears to date back a couple of years before hand. Sources close to the Twothumb family say the Baron is perplexed as to who can be sending these pages and had ordered a full investigation. It is thought that he has asked ex Magincia senator Lyim Rashidat to head up this investigation. Mr Rashidat is thought to be looking for able people to help him carry out his enquiries.

News fromTrinsic
Something Fishy in the air?
or in the water?

Strange goings on in Trinsic have been reported.
Despite being 'accidently' set free during Gereks escape from jail two nights ago it seems the youngster Tim Hunter is once again secured in a Trinsic Cell. It is said he is now being held for his own safety and the safety of others. Initially arrested for his attack on seamstress Sally Buttons who used to care for him when he lived amongst the serfs in Trinsic. People who knew Tim before he left to join the Shadow Court are seemingly baffled as to the erratic change in behaviour shown by the lad, who it's believed now refers to himself as Tom..
Visitors to Tim have included many members of the Shadow Court, Mrs Buttons herself and Duchy personel such as Baroness Moiraine and her ever faithful, if a little absent in recent days, bodyguard George Junior.
Last night Lady Vanqa was called in to see and meet the youth, but was seen running from the jail, clearly distrssed not long after.
More news on this mystery as we learn it.

The people are not the only ones to be acting strangely in Trinsic these past few days.
It is reported that local fishermen have been complaining that nearly all fish caught are either already dead when reeled in or extremely unhealthy looking. Also mysterious notes have been left in the town, one apparently found very near to a pile of these dead fish. A Full investigation into the matters has been ordered. Also last night a strange fishlike creature was seen crawling out of the river. It was later subdued and handed into the guards.
Until more is known The Poste advises people not to drink or eat anything possibly originating from Trinsic's waterways.

News from elsewhere in the lands:

News is reported that a cottage in the villiage of Silverleaf has a new occupant.
One named Smaed Fretting has moved into the village.
Hopefully some good news here as a new house should always mean a party invitation.
Watch out for an envelope landing near you soon.
